二、MoDTP 有十分優良的減摩擦的性能，摩擦系數比其它幾種常用的基礎油和添加劑低50%，MoDTP 還有改造表面粗糙度的性能，在摩擦過程中能使表面變得光潔，它是通過磨平表面微凸體的尖鋒頂部先形成一些微小平臺，隨著摩擦過程形成薄薄幾個納米的邊界潤滑膜，邊界潤滑膜隨生成隨摩擦，這便起到減小摩擦的作用。
